Day 2

Yoga | Tour To Lagoa Do Fogo

We will wake up with an invigorating morning yoga practice by the water and have a leisurely breakfast before getting ready to head out and explore.
As we depart toward Ribeira Grande and its surroundings, we will stop at the parish of the Ribeira Seca (“Dry Ribeira”) and make a small stop at the old fountain. This fountain was covered by lava from a volcano that erupted in 1563, burying the settlement that previously existed there. After arriving in the center of the city, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the baroque architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries, which we will visit during a short walk.
You will have free time at lunch to explore the area on your own. After lunch, we will continue down the road to the mountain where we will eventually arrive at Lagoa do Fogo. En route, there is an optional stop at the regional park of Caldeira Velha, before we reach the viewpoint over the Lagoa do Logo. The scenery is beautiful and will be a highlight of your day. The viewpoint stretches for miles as you can see both the north and south coasts of the island. Return to your hotel for leisure time, then the rest of the evening will be on your own.

Photos will not do it justice while you look down into the famous lagoon, asleep inside a huge volcanic crater.
We will continue with a visit to the village of the Sete Cidades, an authentic portrait of rural Micaelense.
