Day 2

Garda lake by boat

This morning, you will have a buffet breakfast followed by wellness activities at the hotel. After breakfast, you’ll meet your local English-speaking assistant and transfer by bus to Sirmione village, the “pearl of Garda lake”.
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. Its wider part to the south is surrounded by morainic hills that were left following the glacier recession, while the narrow northern part is enclosed by the mountains that create its fjord-shaped configuration and provide a very mild Mediterranean climate. The luminous environment, temperate climate, and flourishing vegetation—mainly olive and lemon groves, palms, cypresses, oleanders, and orange trees—along with the majestic landscapes, are the background to the remarkable historical and cultural remains and make this lake the most charming in Italy. In Sirmione, board a private speedboat for a tour of the south part of the lake. You will pass in front of the “Grotte di Catullo” and then head towards the eastern side of the lake, towards Garda. There you will see “Villa Canossa” and the picturesque Punta San Virgilio. The next stop, on the opposite bank of the lake, will be Fasano before arriving near Gardone. You will continue towards the Gulf of Salò and then navigate to Sirmione, passing in front of Isola del Garda and Rocca di Manerba. Finally, we will stop at Sirmione for lunch in a typical Italian restaurant. You will return to your hotel after lunch and enjoy the rest of the day for individual activities.
Dinner will be on your own, and overnight will be spent in Valpolicella Countryside.

Trekking on Monte Baldo

Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Meet your local English-speaking assistant and trekking guide, then transfer by bus to Malcesine before taking the cable car to Monte Baldo. Seen from the south on a clear winter’s day, Mount Baldo stands in all its impressive beauty—a candid white peak and slopes already warmed by the first breezes of spring. Mount Baldo is the ideal place to observe many animal and plant species and is perfect for hikers and enthusiasts who can appreciate and respect the enchanting nature of this area. Its geographic position allows for extraordinary panoramic views as if it’s suspended between the sky and earth.
The Ring of Cola trek provides a very panoramic route which is easy and relaxing, suitable for everyone. It starts from the cable car station going north along the ridge of Monte Baldo and goes back to the cable car down to trail 651 and uphill on a comfortable white road. Lunch during the excursion included.
You will return to your hotel in the afternoon for leisure and relaxation. Dinner will be on your own and overnight will be spent in the Valpolicella Countryside.

Verona, the city of lovers

Start your morning with a wellness activity and breakfast at the hotel. The morning is at your disposal to enjoy the hotel amenities or for individual explorations. In the early afternoon, you’ll transfer to Verona city center. Meet your local guide for a 3-hour guided tour of the beautiful city. In ancient Roman times, the city of Verona received its chess-board layout and was adorned with the Arena, the world's best preserved Roman amphitheater that today still provides hours of delightful music and entertainment. The visit also includes the 14th-century house of Juliet, a lovers' venue and a very popular stop—in everyone’s mind Verona is linked to her image and her sad love story. Another 14th-century attraction consists of the bizarre “Arche” of the Della Scala family, namely the stone lace structures pointing up to the sky that still harbor suspicions and mysteries. Along the way we will stop to see: Piazza Bra', Juliet’s house, Piazza Erbe, Piazza dei Signori, the Arche Scaligere and the courtyard of the Mercato Vecchio. After the tour concludes, you will enjoy aperitif in Piazza Delle Erbe to taste local aperitif Spritz with some snacks before heading to dinner at a typical restaurant in Piazza Brà.
